During an area-wide emergency, the 911 center is typically flooded with requests for emergency responders, and your non-emergency call for information may very well cause someone to lose their life. Go here to sign up for the Wide Area Rapid Notification (W.A.R.N.) system, which is designed to promulgate emergency information to the community. For more information about the W.A.R.N. system, call the Wood/Wirt County 911 center at (304) 485-8501.
