Register Now for National
Preparedness Month :
“A Time to Remember. A Time to Prepare,” Encourages Americans to Take
Simple Steps to Prepare for Emergencies.
This September not only marks the ten year
anniversary of 9/11, it is also National Preparedness Month (NPM)
which focuses this year on “A Time to Remember. A Time to Prepare.”
During September, we will remember those lost, honor our first
responders, and renew our commitment to preparedness. To this
end, we urge you to make a stand and
join the NPM Coalition.
Becoming a coalition member it easy and free. It
takes 97 seconds to
register to become a Coalition
member. Even if you registered last
year, you need to do it again to be part of the team, part of the
solution this year.
As a National Coalition Month member, private
sector entities take steps, large and small, to increase preparedness
of businesses, employees, customers or communities. We urge you to do
something meaningful, measurable and visible this year. We
would love to hear back from you on the activities you have planned
and are available to brainstorm with you on big ideas that will have a
dramatic impact.
How do you get started?
Once registered, you will have access to a toolkit and resources that
include all sorts of ideas; website, social media, newsletter, and
publication content; Ready Business public service announcements;
presentations; collateral customizable with your logo; brochures;
material, such as
Make a Family Emergency Plan
and
Emergency Supply Kit; bill
stuffer template; and much more. You will be able to
contribute/access the NPM events calendar, share success stories, and
participate in discussion forums. In the near future, we will send you
business preparedness resources, including more than 54 webinars in
September, business preparedness web sites, and other materials.
We don’t just want
you to register – we encourage you to ask everyone in your network to
register too. Please feel free to forward this message
with your endorsement and post this widget on your e-mail signature,
your social media and your websites. Just click on the widget and copy
